After just a few seconds there’s something here that makes me think of another band, namely Napalm Death. The drumming reminds me a lot of earlier Napalm Death, especially around the Scum-area. And so does the vocals...
Main vocals are very good growls that, as I said earlier, reminds me of Napalm Death, can you go wrong with that? There are also occasionally thrown in piglet screams, gore-grunts and other growls, also top notch! No guitar-lines here, so don’t expect anything melodic, this is aggressive death metal mangling to the bone! The drum-work here’s excellent, sounds a little like he’s about to lose control anytime, but they’re always under control. Top quality shit here! Don’t know what else to say.
Fans of Napalm Death will hopefully (and should) go apeshit over this. But don’t be alarmed, this is not a clone. The frequent use of different vocals is something that distinguishes this band. Can’t wait to hear more from Pyorrhoea! Maybe on Poland’s kick-ass grind label Self Made God?
